Transformers ED is an educational seminar series meant for students and consumers who wish to learn about the denim supply chain and understand the environmental impact at each step of production.

In collaboration with COSE361 and ZDHC for Institut Français de la Mode, this unique educational seminar series for master students who are eager to learn about the denim supply chain and its environmental impact at each stage of production.

This edition of Transformers ED covered everything you need to know about fibres, machinery, finishing, sustainability, circularity, creative design, and social impact.

This event took place on March 28-30 2023, virtually through Zoom. This event was hosted by Stephane Popescu from COSE361.

A diverse array of expert speakers, including Miguel Sanchez from Transformers Foundation, Romain Narcy from Ereks Blue Matters, Alberto de Conti from Rudolf, Juliette Thiriez from United Nations Office for Partnerships, Baptiste Carriere-Pradal from Policy Hub, Mariella Noto from ZDHC, Karla Macgruder from Accelerating Circularity, Naceur Azraq from DyStar Colours Distribution GmbH, Rowan Hunt from Denim Research, Jahouer Damak from Denim House, Nicolas Prophte from PVH, Anne Oudard from Denim Consultant, Denis Druon from The Flax Company, Helen Latham from The LYCRA Company, Nora Eslander from Renewcell, shared their knowledge and experiences with the attendees.

The seminar also featured denim designers such as Julieta Mercerat and Uriel Karsenti (ANNIE Denim) .

This remarkable lineup of speakers provided an in-depth look at the denim industry and its impact on the environment, as well as its journey towards sustainability. The seminar was aimed at providing students and consumers with the necessary knowledge and skills to foster a responsible and sustainable denim industry and a chance to learn from some of the most renowned professionals in the field and join the conversation on how to create a better future for the denim industry.
