Support our colleagues in turkey

On February 6, 2023, a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck southern and central Turkey, as well as northern and western Syria. The earthquakes resulted in widespread damage and tens of thousands of fatalities, making it the deadliest seismic event in the history of Turkey and Syria.

As members of the global denim community, it is important that we come together to support our colleagues in Turkey and Syria during this difficult time not in just the coming weeks, but the months and years to follow. On this pager, we share several ways that we can provide support, including donating to relief organisations, spreading the word about the disaster, and staying connected with our denim colleagues in Turkey in the weeks and months ahead.

Donate to disaster relief organisations

Many organisations have set up disaster relief funds to provide assistance to those affected by the recent earthquakes in Turkey. We have compiled a list of credible organisations here:

  1. You can pay via credit card or direct wire transfer to AHBAP here: https://ahbap.org/disasters-turkey

  2. You can donate via credit card to AKUT here: https://www.akut.org.tr/en

  3. You can donate via credit card to Kizilay here: https://www.kizilay.org.tr/deprem2023/

We will be sharing more direct methods of aid in the coming days.

Spread the word
